The $700 million landmark project is setting new standards for mixed-use
We are excited to announce multiple new projects are underway at Grandview Yard, the powerhouse mixed-use development which has changed the landscape of what was once a blighted industrial district in the heart of Grandview Heights. Nationwide Realty Investors President and COO Brian J. Ellis made the announcements.
On the north side of Goodale Boulevard, just west of Bobcat Avenue, a new two-story, 34,000-square-foot office building has broken ground at 950 Goodale Blvd. Carlile Patchen & Murphy, LLC, the highly regarded Columbus-based law firm established in 1967, will occupy approximately 17,000 square feet on the second floor. Grandview Yard’s newest office building will feature a glass atrium entrance, near floor-to-ceiling windows, and rowlock brick detail along the parapet, with lush landscaping and a limestone retaining wall wrapping adjacent parking. Construction is now underway with anticipated completion in spring of 2020.
In addition, a new townhome product will join the diverse mix of residential offerings at Grandview Yard. Three independent, side-by-side buildings, called “The Junction” will be comprised of 20 two-story townhome residences with walk-ups along Bobcat Avenue. The buildings will feature a refined brick façade, elevated balconies, private garages, and market-leading interior finishes. Townhome residents will have access to The Yard Club, Grandview Yard’s residential amenity building and club house featuring a resort style swimming pool and spa, fitness center, and community room, as well as Grandview Yard’s significant mix of retail, dining, and fitness offerings, First Avenue Park and green spaces.
“We are pleased to announce the development of additional commercial and residential projects at Grandview Yard,” said Ellis. “Creating a great neighborhood isn’t just about the construction of individual buildings. It’s about generating a vision that brings complementary elements together where the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts. As Grandview Yard continues to grow, we’re able to provide an even more engaging mixed-use environment for our office tenants and residents, and deliver a thriving development for this community.”
In addition to the newly announced projects at Grandview Yard, development is now complete on the Dorchester East and West apartment buildings, and residents are moving in. Construction is also underway on the first phase of single-family homes by M/I Homes, and the second phase of single-family attached homes by Wagenbrenner Development along the northern edge of the project.
Recent additions to the retail mix at Grandview Yard includes Club Pilates which opened in early April in the Manchester building alongside Brekkie Shack, a locally-owned breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a leading full-service wealth management, financial services, and investment banking firm, and MY SALON Suite, a top-tier salon experience. The new Goddard day care facility opened along Third Avenue last month. And Winans Chocolates + Coffees + Wine will open this spring, joining OhioHealth and Columbus OGBYN in the 1125 Yard Street building.
